Oct. 1959   The petrochemical sector of Maruzen Oil Co., Ltd., was separated as an independent unit and established with a capital investment of 2.5 billion yen (100% share) by the company.
  

Feb. 1964   Capital investments were received from Ube Industries, Ltd., Chisso Corporation, Denki Kagaku Kogyo Kabushiki Kaisha), Nissan Chemical Industries, Ltd., and Nippon Soda Co., Ltd.
